Principal and Chairman Emeritus
Mr. DeShazo, one of the founders of the firm, is a principal and Chairman Emeritus. He has extensive experience with a wide variety of projects within the urban area and works with the firm’s engineers in developing the optimal traffic, transportation and parking solutions. His perspective on how to make significant urban projects work has been forged from forty years in the private sector and twenty-five years in the public sector--including nine years as Director of the Department of Traffic Control for the City of Dallas. He has worked with numerous and varied projects for clients such as: UT Southwestern Medical Center, Parkland Hospital, Texas A&M University, NorthPark Center, The Dallas Galleria, Mockingbird Station, The Crescent®, The Dallas Arts District, Fair Park, Baylor University Medical Center and many others. Of further note, he was only the 73rd person in 2004 to receive an Honorary Membership in the Institute of Transportation Engineers, a global organization.
