FOREST PARK MEDICAL CENTER

Campus-wide transportation Planning and Parking Design

Project Overview

DeShazo Group conducted a comprehensive Traffic Impact Analysis (TIA) to support the development of Forest Park Medical Center Southlake, a proposed 30-acre medical complex. The study assessed anticipated traffic volumes for the year 2015 buildout, including background growth and site-generated trips, in relation to existing and proposed roadway conditions.

🏥 Healthcare | 📍 Southlake, Texas
🛣️ Scope: Traffic Impact Analysis for full site buildout
📐 Client: LandPlan Development Corporation
📏 Site: 30.17-acre medical campus

📊 Traffic Forecasting & Impact Modeling

1. Evaluated full buildout conditions with year 2015 traffic projections
2. Identified moderate impact on existing roadway network, with all but one intersection operating within acceptable levels of service

🚦 Intersection & Signalization

1. Recommended signal installation at the impacted intersection when warranted, to reduce multi-directional delays
2. Conducted additional analysis of Highland Street assuming both its planned and existing cross-sections to validate traffic flow assumptions

Strategic Highlights

🚦 Smarter Streets for Growing Medical Campuses

Data-Supported Development

DeShazo’s traffic projections ensured the medical complex would integrate efficiently with Southlake’s transportation infrastructure — reducing delays, improving access, and guiding timely infrastructure investment.
