HUNT HEADQUARTERS
Corporate Facilities  /  Dallas, Texas

DeShazo Group was engaged by the client to evaluate traffic capacity and identify appropriate street improvements for the new Hunt Corporate Headquarters in Downtown Dallas.  This analysis was performed to satisfy the City of Dallas site approval requirements and provided Hunt Consolidated with valuable information about the exiting and future traffic conditions in the vicinity of the building.

The firm consulted with the design team to determine the appropriate number of parking spaces to construct in the underground and adjacent parking garages.  Our designers also assisted with driveway and loading dock configuration and parking garage design to ensure adequate safety, capacity, and function were provided.  Motorists' visibility and sight distances were verified to meet or exceed the City’s criteria.  The firm also helped negotiate with the City of Dallas to permit removal of some existing on-street parking spaces and meters around the site perimeter to increase building security as well as improve street capacity and visibility.  The firm assisted our client in assessing the project’s impact to neighboring restaurants' valet parking operations.
