Beginning in the early 1980's, DeShazo Group began supporting NorthPark Center with comprehensive transportation planning. From garage design to signal timing and transit access, our solutions have helped establish NorthPark as one of Dallas' premier retail destinations. Their expansions have built on a legacy of planning that ensures seamless access for millions of annual visitors.

📐 Scope: Long-term traffic engineering, parking master planning, and garage design

🚗 Garage Sizes:
Macy’s Garage – 1,682 spaces
Nordstrom Garage – 1,910 spaces
Dillard’s Garage – 1,154 spaces (Completed 2000)
🧭 Traffic & Parking Master Plan
1. Developed a phased plan to support retail expansion and rising vehicle volumes
2. Integrated pedestrian access points with vehicular routing to enhance circulation
3. Created flexible parking strategies for holiday peaks, events, and daily operations
🏗️ Functional Parking Garage Design
1. Designed three major garages totaling over 4,700 spaces with optimal ingress/egress
2. Ensured ADA compliance and customer convenience through intuitive layout and signage
3. Coordinated construction timing with active retail operations to avoid disruptions
