DALLAS ARBORETUM
Parking Design / Dallas, Texas DeShazo Group conducted a parking needs analysis of the parking demands for the Arboretum's various activities over a year-long period to assist in determining both existing and future parking needs based upon their planned new gardens. The study concluded that the normal daily demands can be accommodated on, or adjacent to, their Garden and the peak demands for special events can be accommodated in nearby parking facilities. DeShazo Group was then retained to conduct a financial feasibility study for a garage to accommodate the parking deficiency. The study indicated a revenue return sufficient to cover the cost of an 800-space parking garage. DeShazo Group was selected as a member of the professional design team and was responsible for developing the functional parking design, which is the blueprint of the garage that indicates the ingress and egress driveway locations; traffic circulation, ramp, and wayfinding systems; and the parking control plazas. |
