Dallas International School - Richardson Campus
K-12 / Richardson, Texas Perkins+Will retained the services of DeShazo Group to provide a traffic study for the Dallas International School (DIS) which was to be located at 17923 Waterview Parkway. The site is across from the University of Texas - Dallas campus on the west side of Waterview Parkway at Synergy Park Boulevard, south of Frankford Road. The school was designed to provide a campus that could potentially accommodate up to 950 students. The City of Richardson requested a traffic study to evaluate the proposed access to and from the school site since the right-of-way line for Waterview Parkway lay within the City of Richardson city limits. The traffic study included intersection and driveway analysis. The results of the analyses indicated that the existing roadway structure was sufficient to accommodate the impact of the proposed DIS maximum build-out conditions with access at Waterview Parkway at Synergy Park Boulevard and Waterview Parkway at the north end of the DIS site. Approval of the project was requested from the City of Richardson. |
