K-12 / Dallas, Texas Jesuit College Preparatory School of Dallas and St. Rita Catholic School retained DeShazo Group, Inc., to provide a traffic management plan for their adjacent campuses located, respectively, at 12345 Inwood Road and 12525 Inwood Road in Dallas, Texas. The impetus for the study was related to the impending construction of an approximately 450-space, four-level parking garage on the southeast corner of the St. Rita campus that would be used by both institutions. The firm conducted a preliminary site plan review of the garage and recommended a series of modifications relative to access and circulation—both internal to the site and from the public street—to improve safety and operational efficiency for the students, staff, and faculty to and from the school sites. The goal was to optimize passenger vehicle loading/unloading capabilities within each site and reduce or eliminate vehicle queuing within the City right-of-way. |
