GOOD SHEPHERD EPISCOPAL SCHOOL
K-12 / Dallas, Texas DeShazo Group, Inc., prepared a traffic management plan for James E. Langford, Architects and Planners, LLC, in support of the planned revisions to the campus circulation system of Good Shepherd Episcopal School. Good Shepherd is a private school with an enrollment of 600 students from prekindergarten through 8th grades that is located at 11110 Midway Road in Dallas, Texas. The main driveway of the campus was being reconstructed to eliminate the English-type access and circulation system in order to provide a conventional circulation system. In concert with these improvements, the hooded left-turn lane on Midway Road for the southbound, left-turning vehicles into the campus’s main driveway was also being reconstructed to provide a standard left-turn lane. The firm developed procedures for the morning drop-off and afternoon pick-up hours that would promote traffic safety and efficiency and achieve an optimum level of traffic flow and circulation at the school during these peak traffic periods. |
