Master Plans/Amarillo, Abilene, Dallas, Lubbock, Midland and Odesa, Texas The services of DeShazo were retained by Perkins Eastman Architects (client), for providing traffic engineering and parking analysis services for the Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center (TTUHSC) Institutional Plan. This plan involves campuses in Amarillo, Abilene, Dallas, Lubbock, Midland, and Odesa. As it pertains to the Amarillo campus, DeShazo Group has performed a Traffic Assessment Study (TAS). DeShazo recommended several improvements to enhance the accessibility, walkability, and safety of the campus site. These include updating signage, conducting a traffic warrant study at intersections, installing parking islands to connect with pedestrian crossings, creating slower traffic flow to increase pedestrian safety, and building new road connections to improve traffic mobility on campus. |
