TEXAS WOMAN'S UNIVERSITY
Master Plans/Denton, Texas DeShazo Group assisted HKS Architects with traffic engineering elements for the 2017 Texas Women's University Master Plan Update. The firm conducted an engineering analysis of the proposed roadway section options for Bell Avenue through the campus by applying FHWA and NCTCOG roadway capacity standards among others. DeShazo reviewed the proposed roadway cross-section for the proposed east campus expansion including estimating anticipated daily travel demand for the proposed additional classrooms, research facilities and student residences. DeShazo further reviewed proposed pedestrian and cycling facilities and provided an engineering assessment and comments. DeShazo assisted in developing graphics for the mobility elements of the master plan publication/webpage and attended project meetings as needed. |
